20-year-old driver is banned after failing to provide breath sample

A 20-year-old driver who was arrested after a collision and then failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis at Keynsham Police Centre has been disqualified for 12 months and ordered to complete 140 hours of unpaid work.

Kirran Duncan, of Longwood in Brislington, appeared before District Judge Lynne Matthews at Bath Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 17th December to admit the offence which was on 16th November.

Duncan had written a letter to the judge for which she thanked him.

The unpaid work is part of a 12-month community order.

Duncan was also ordered to pay Crown Prosecution Service costs of £85 and a surcharge of £114.
