A man appeared before city magistrates on Wednesday 8th October accused of a burglary at The Boathouse restaurant in Bath.

Adam Malik, of Alcove Road in Fishponds in Bristol, is said to have entered the pub at Newbridge Road on 18th December 2024 as a trespasser and stolen drums of rape seed oil of an unknown value.

The 34-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge and to two other charges of possessing drugs.

It is alleged that on the same day in Bristol, he had in his possession 243.03 grams of Psilocin (magic mushrooms), a Class A drug, as well as 17.6 grams of cannabis, which is a Class B drug.

Malik elected trial at Bristol Crown Court and magistrates adjourned the case until 12th November. He was granted unconditional bail.

Meanwhile Adrian Grekowicz, 35, had also been listed to appear before Bath magistrates accused of the burglary at The Boathouse on 18th December.

His case was adjourned, and Grekowicz is now due to attend the magistrates’ court on 20th October.
