Warrants have been issued for two men facing 11 cattle cruelty charges after they failed to turn up for their court appearance in Bath.

Hisnain Mahmood, 32, of Belvedere in Bath, and 22-year-old Tobias Moxham, of Landcross in Bideford in Devon, had been due to appear before magistrates on Wednesday 11th March after the case was previously adjourned.
The animal welfare case charges are being brought by Bath & North East Somerset Council.
The court list shows the men are each charged with:
- Between 16th March and 22nd April 2025 at Bath causing unnecessary suffering to a bovine calf by a failure to act on the animal’s chronic malnutrition.
- Between 16th March and 2nd May 2025 at Bath caused unnecessary suffering to between 19 and 30 bovine calves which were grossly malnourished.
- Between 16th March and 2nd May 2025 at Bath did not take such reasonable steps to ensure that the needs of calves were met as they were in an environment not suitable for their age, being outside and not in a barn.
- Between 16th March and 2nd May 2025 at Bath did not take reasonable steps to ensure that the needs of calves were met as they were weaned when too young.
- Between 16th March and 19th August 2025 at Bath did not take reasonable steps to ensure that calves were protected from pain, suffering, injury and disease, due to rubble, fence post holes and plastic in the field where they were grazing.
- Between 16th March and 2nd May 2025 at Bath, being responsible for farmed animals, failed to take reasonable steps to ensure they were cared for by sufficient and competent staff.
- Between 16th March and 2nd May 2025 at Bath failed to give protection to calves not kept in buildings by giving them access to a well-drained lying area.
- On 2nd May 2025 failed to record the death of a calf at Bath with seven days.
- On 4th August 2025 at Bath failed to ensure that calves not kept in buildings were in the conditions that gave them protection from adverse weather, predators and risks to their health, and that they had access to a well-drained lying area.
- Between 2nd May and 19th August 2025 at Bath did not take reasonable steps to ensure the needs of bovine calves were met in that their diet was not suitable.
- After 24th August 2025 at Bath failed to notify the Secretary of State within three days of the movement of cattle off a holding at Bath.
Magistrates issued a warrant backed by bail for the two men. The case was adjourned to 6th May.
