Avon and Somerset Police have released a CCTV still as part of an appeal for witnesses to an assault near Bath Bus Station in Dorchester Street at about 2am on Saturday 30th September.

A 20-year-old man was walking along the street with a friend when they were approached by two other men who shouted at them then knocked the 20-year-old to the floor.

He suffered a bloody lip, cuts, scratches and grazing as well as having his T-shirt ripped.

The two men involved in the apparently unprovoked attack were both described as white, in their late 20s, with short dark hair. One was about 5ft 10 and the other was a little taller.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident or who has any other information which could help their investigation.

Anyone who can help is asked to get in touch through the police website, www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact, or by calling 101, quoting reference 5217223097.

Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name or trace your call.
