CCTV image issued as part of investigation into theft of £3.5k ring in Bath

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for help from the public to trace a man as part of their ongoing investigation into a theft from a jeweller’s in Bath.

The theft happened just before 2pm on Thursday 7th February at the shop in Stall Street. A man asked to view a £3,500 ring and then made off with it.

Witnesses described the man as white, in his 20s, about 5ft 5ins tall, with short dark brown hair and stubble.

Anyone with information which could help can get in touch with officers through www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact, or by calling 101, quoting reference 5219027623.

Alternatively pass on information through the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers.
