A teenage boy from the Radstock area has been found guilty of raping a girl.
The trial by a district judge sitting at a youth court session at Bath Magistrates’ Court took place on Wednesday 3rd December.
The boy, who had denied the charge, is now 16. He was 14 at the time of the offence in June 2023. His victim was 15.
A pre-sentence report was ordered, and the 16-year-old was remanded on unconditional bail until the next hearing, which will be at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on 21st January.
He is required to register his details at the police centre in Keynsham until the case is dealt with.
