Bathford man is arrested after warrant issued for court no-show

A man from Bathford has appeared in custody at Bath Magistrates’ Court after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Ricky Rennoldson, of Ashley Road, had been due before the court on 14th August to answer three charges but failed to turn up so a warrant without bail was issued.

The 25-year-old appeared in the dock on Wednesday 20th August when the charges were put to him.

He admitted driving without insurance on the A39 between Corston and Marksbury on 16th May and being in possession of 2.5 grams of cannabis at the time, but denied knowing that the vehicle’s registration plates were fraudulent.

Rennoldson was remanded on unconditional bail until 21st January 2026, when he will go on trial at the magistrates’ court for that alleged offence.

He will be sentenced for the two offences he has admitted following the trial.
