A 68-year-old Bath man gave no plea when he appeared before city magistrates last week, charged with dangerous driving.

A police car with flashing blue lights

The charge relates to an incident on 4th February 2023 on the A368 at Chelwood.

A warrant without bail had been issued in August for Andrew Knight, whose address was listed as St James’s Square.

When he appeared in court on Monday 17th November, magistrates heard that Knight had voluntarily surrendered and the warrant was formally withdrawn.

Knight gave a new address of Camden Road West in Bath.

The case was sent to Bristol Crown Court for trial. There will be a preparation hearing there on 5th January.

Knight was granted unconditional bail.
