Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal for witnesses who may have seen men acting suspiciously in the Fairfield Park area of Bath following an aggravated burglary yesterday morning.

The incident happened between 11am and 11.30am on Wednesday 28th March in Midsummer Buildings.

If you were in the area of Midsummer Buildings or Fairfield Road/Fairfield Park Road during this time you might be able to help officers with their investigations.

A 17-year-old girl was at home when at least two men, with their faces covered, knocked on the front window and then forced the front door open.

One or two people went upstairs and searched the home.

One man held a hammer above his head in a threatening manner and demanded to know where the safe was.

A vehicle was heard driving away. Did you see two or three men in a vehicle or in the street behaving suspiciously between 11am and 12 midday?

If you have any information or you saw anything suspicious, call 101, quoting reference number 5218066298 and ask to speak to Investigations.
