Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for help after cash, watches and pieces of jewellery were stolen in a burglary in Bath on Saturday 11th November.
Officers were called to Morris Lane just after 7.30pm by a member of the public who heard an alarm sounding.
The burglary took place between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, when thieves forced a first floor window and stole cash, jewellery and watches, including:
- Two Casio Oceanus watches;
- A Samsung Gear S2 smart watch.
- A Swarovski rabbit pendant and chain;
- Five men’s rings;
- A wallet containing Hong Kong dollars, bank cards and other personal papers;
- A wallet containing bank cards and Chinese Yuan.
Officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries and forensic investigations have taken place. The Bobby Van, a specially trained police carpenter, will also now visit to offer home security advice.
Anyone with any information which could help is asked to get in touch online, or by calling 101, quoting reference 5217258602
Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name or trace your call. You could even qualify for a reward and still remain anonymous.
Police advice is to keep high-value jewellery with a secure storage company and cash in the bank, rather than at home, following a number of incidents in which entire safes have been stolen.
Remember, if you see someone acting suspiciously around a neighbour’s property, call the police straight away. If they’re obviously breaking in, ring 999. Otherwise, call the non-emergency number 101 – the operators are on hand 24/7.
