Housing developer Crest Nicholson Regeneration has made a donation of £500 to the art facility at Threeways School, and invited pupils to get involved with Bath Riverside.
The developer of Bath Riverside has made a contribution of £500 to the department and has also invited pupils from the school to submit artwork to be considered for inclusion within the development.
Bath Riverside has an art strategy in place to ensure that a range of works are incorporated into Bath’s newest residential quarter, providing various points of interest around the site.
Installations to date include stone carvings, bronzes and window etchings and there are more planned for the future.
As the project progresses into future phases, there will be further opportunity for new artworks to be included, which is why Crest Nicholson has approached Bath’s Threeways School for its input.
Peter Dickinson, who oversees the art strategy for Crest Nicholson, said: “We were impressed by some of the superb work which has been produced by Threeways School which is why we are keen to offer support and encourage the pupils to be involved in the regeneration of Bath Riverside.
“Crest Nicholson Regeneration is creating homes which appeal to all, regardless of age or disability, and to this end we will also be giving careful consideration to the types of art installations and their locations to ensure they can be enjoyed by everyone.”
“All artwork will be considered on its own merit judged by an independent panel before being incorporated into the development.”
