People are being encouraged to take along a picnic and blanket to the show, which will incorporate a family fun day, at Pennyquick Park in Newton Road from noon to 4pm.
Local artist Diana Ahmed was successful in an application for a freelance grant from the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) to work on a community impact project.
She said: “This is my biggest art project to date, resurrecting the Twerton Flower Show – the last one was held in 1926.”
The show used to take place in the grounds of Wood House in the 1880s-1900s.
It is being revived by Diana in conjunction with other locals and the Twerton and Whiteway Community Network.
The network has received five years of funding from the National Lottery to further its mission of bringing people together and work to strengthen, celebrate and improve the area.
Gardeners, growers and flower lovers will be exhibiting in a series of competitions at Saturday’s event.
There will also be free activities including crafts, ceramic flowers, seed sowing and bug hunting.
Other attractions will include a bouncy castle, puppet show, face painting, children’s football, karaoke, an ice cream van, teas and cakes.

Pennyquick Park is a 30-minute walk from Twerton High Street, a 15-minute walk from Kelston View and on the Number 5 bus route.
There will be no parking provision as the event is by the community for the community.
Toilets will be available.
