The utility company recently carried out sewer rehabilitation works to prevent potential flooding and pollution which involved a temporary road closure affecting Church Lane.

Now Bath & North East Somerset Council has granted an order which will temporarily introduce a road closure in Mill Lane from its junction with Church Lane, extending south east for approximately 30 metres.

Wessex Water will be carrying out trial hole works, tank construction and power supply installation.

Excavation trial hole works are due to take place between 31st March and 11th April.

Wessex Water says pedestrian access will be maintained and when no active works are taking place, the road will be reopened.

Phase 1 of the main works is due to take place during the school holiday period this summer with phase 2 taking place over the school summer holiday period in 2026.
