The Theatre Royal Bath is looking to recruit new members for its Trustee Board, with individuals being sought to help aid the long-term planning of the theatre’s development.

Individuals are being invited with expertise in one of the following sectors: Human Resources, Business Management or Hospitality and Catering.
Applicants from a wide diversity of backgrounds and personal circumstances are welcomed.

“We are seeking outstanding individuals with a strong interest in the Theatre and a passion for culture who can aid the governance of Bath’s Theatre Royal.
The role of a Board member is a part-time and unpaid position. Board members attend bi-monthly Board meetings and are expected to be regular visitors to the three Theatre Royal Bath auditoria – the Main House, the Ustinov and the egg theatre.
Additionally, there is an opportunity for Board members to attend opening nights in London of plays produced by the Theatre Royal Bath’s production company, Theatre Royal Bath Productions.
The Theatre Royal Bath is run by a highly-experienced team of full-time theatre professionals led by the Theatre Director.
The role of Board members is to provide oversight of the executive team’s activities in the short term and also to aid the long-term planning of the Theatre’s development.
The Board also acts on behalf of the Trustees to ensure that the Theatre Royal is being professionally managed whilst upholding its charitable purpose.
Applicants are asked to submit a CV and covering letter, explaining why they wish to be a Board member and the qualities, skills and relevant experience they can bring to the organisation.
Applications will be reviewed by the Chairman of the Trustees, the Vice Chairperson and the Theatre Director. Appointments will be made following a meeting with all current Board members.
