A Bath teacher has raised nearly £4,000 so far after climbing the equivalent of Mount Everest on his bike.

Dan Fox, who teaches geography at Oldfield School, rode up and down Lansdown Lane at Upper Weston 100 times (and a quarter) on Sunday 20th July to hit the target of 8,848 metres.
The ride was in aid of the school association to raise funds to encourage more students to get into cycling by providing equipment to make pedalling to school easier.
Dan, of Broadmoor Vale, told the Echo: “It was incredible, amazing, humbling and horrendous all at the same time.
“The community came out in force, which was so special.”
He said he was feeling a bit tired this week, but not as bad as he thought he could be.
Dan added that it’s “just unbelievable” that he has raised so much. Donations can still be made on Dan’s GoFundMe page.
