Located in the ‘Secret Garden’, visitors can use contactless payment to donate £3, £5 or £10 to Age UK Bath & North East Somerset, BANES Carers Centre, Dorothy House and Genesis Trust.
The giving box will light up in response to any donation it receives.
Age UK Bath & North East Somerset help older people in the area live healthier, happier, and more independent lives through a wide range of services.
From bringing people together to providing financial support, they work to empower older people through the pandemic and beyond.
Bath and North East Somerset Carers’ Centre provides carers with the trusted information, advice and the support they need to take care of themselves, as well as the one they care for.
The centre’s dedicated team work with carers of all ages, including children as young as five years old.

The Dorothy House team believe that anyone facing a life-limiting illness deserves comfort, security and the chance to cherish life. Its priority is to support the people who need them most, in whatever way they choose, and build a local network of family, friends and community.
Genesis Trust Bath supports homeless and vulnerable people in crisis across Bath and North East Somerset, providing help and encouragement as they seek improved wellbeing and positive change.
Guy Henderson, centre director at SouthGate Bath, said: “This festive season, it seems only right to focus on supporting the people, charities and organisations that have gone above and beyond to help the people most in need in our community.
“We hope our customers will enjoy reversing the role of Santa and giving back to these amazing organisations that help people across the region.”
The centre has also launched a competition to reward someone who has gone out of their way to support the local community this year with £250 to spend on themselves at SouthGate Bath as a small ‘thank you’ for all their hard work.
To nominate someone special, you’ll need to fill out an entry form on SouthGate Bath’s website to explain why you think they deserve to win, which can be found here: https://www.southgatebath.com/christmas/community-heroes.
Throughout December, the centre will be open from 9am to 6pm, with late night shopping until 7pm on Thursdays from the 17th December.
The SouthGate Bath team is encouraging shoppers to visit outside of peak times if they can.
