The Somer Valley Foodbank will be opening a new distribution centre in Paulton on Wednesdays from 11.30am to 1.30pm, commencing from Wednesday 11th July.
The new centre will be in ‘the cellar’ at Paulton Methodist Church, Park Rd, Paulton, BS39 7QQ.
A new team has been formed and is ready to distribute food to those obtaining vouchers from local agencies, such as DHI, Family Support, CAB, Health Care professionals and Welfare Support, along with many others.
The foodbank is designed to help individuals and families in crisis through the provision of emergency food supplies.
When people have a voucher for the foodbank centre, they will be given their food supplies, a cup of coffee and help in finding other professionals who can help them out of their crisis.
The foodbank also gives the general public the opportunity to contribute to and support local well-being in a simple practical way.
