Members of the club presented cheques from money raised by its popular fireworks display on the Recreation Ground in Bath, as well as its Christmas carol service and Christmas street collection held in the city centre.
Donations were made to Bath’s Southside Project, the Glasshouse Academy, the RUH Children’s Therapy Unit and the University of Bath Students Union RAG charity fund.
Organisations who helped with the Rotary Club’s events were also thanked for their support, including Bath Building Society, Bath Recreation Ltd, Hooke Highways, Pains Fireworks and Radio Bath.
Rotary Club president, Paul Suchley, said: “We were delighted to be joined by many of those who help us put on these events so successfully.
“Their generosity and support play a key role in helping us run these fun activities.
“They help bring our community together and raise significant sums for those in need in and around our city.”
The largest one-off money-raiser for the club is its fireworks event on the Rec, which has been run for over 40 years.
Over 6,000 tickets were bought for the display last year, and the Rotary Club plans to hold the event again this year on Saturday 1st November.
