A road in Monkton Combe will be closed for several days before Christmas and in the first week of the new year for Wessex Water to carry out works.

The temporary road closure will affect Church Lane from its junction with Mill Lane eastwards for approximately 140 metres.

Wessex Water will be doing sewer rehabilitation works to prevent potential flooding and pollution.

The work is planned in two phases. The first closure is anticipated to be between Friday 13th December and Monday 23rd December and the second between Thursday 2nd and Monday 6th January.

A diversion will be in place via the remainder of Church Lane, Summer Lane, Combe Road, the A3062 North Road, Shaft Road, Church Lane and vice versa.

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position.
