A husband and wife pulled from the River Avon in Bath city centre last week are appealing for their rescuers to make contact so they can thank them.
The couple, from Cardiff, who’ve asked not to be named, want to speak to two runners who were on the river path last Wednesday afternoon.
They saw the man, aged 62, and his 59-year-old wife in the swollen and fast-running water, and managed to throw them a lifebuoy and pull them to safety.
Bath PC Stuart Cumine said: “The couple are well aware how lucky they were and are extremely grateful to everyone who helped them, particularly the joggers who acted so promptly.
“They’d just like them to get in touch so they can thank them personally.”
Anyone who knows the rescuers, or the joggers themselves, can contact PC 4425 Cumine by calling 101 and quoting reference number 0551 of 9th March.
