Local charity Julian House is calling on board game fans young and old to join them for a special fundraising event taking place later this month.
Bath Board Game Day is being held on Sunday 20th February at Komedia, with residents being invited to play games and have fun for a good cause.
Gamers, new and experienced, can choose to go along for the whole day, 10am – 8pm, or just half a day, and will have the opportunity to pick and play different games from the games library including big blockbuster hits, classics and indie gems.
Whether it’s a quick and playful game of bluffing and laughter for youngsters and families or a lengthy game full of strategy and skill for avid players, there will be something for everyone.
The event is being sponsored by Blue Orange Games, which produces high-quality games across the world.
Attendees will also have the chance to join an on the day tournament and enter a board game bundle raffle.
There are baby changing facilities at the venue and food and drink can be purchased on the day, including stone-baked pizzas.
Event organiser Jessica Gay said: “Bath Board Game Day is all about having fun with friends and family for a good cause.
“You can feel good in the knowledge your ticket fee is helping to support vulnerable and at risk people and children experiencing homelessness or escaping domestic abuse.
“The day offers the chance to be part of something bigger and join us in our mission to alleviate homelessness in and around Bath.
“We’ve very pleased that Bath Gaming Group have again kindly offered to support the event, meaning a packed games library and game hosts on hand to help novice participants with game rules and instructions.”
