People in the Oldfield Park and Westmoreland areas of Bath are being invited to have their say on the regulations needed to develop a Residents’ Parking Zone.
Bath & North East Somerset Council is aiming to tackle commuter parking and reduce vehicle intrusion into residential neighbourhoods while improving air quality and the environment for the local community.
The design of the proposed scheme has been changed following feedback received in a public consultation in November 2021.
The next step is to establish a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to implement the zone.
B&NES Council has launched a public consultation on the TRO giving residents a further opportunity to comment on the proposed Residents’ Parking Zone (RPZ).
The consultation runs until 7th July at 5pm, after which a decision will be made on whether the zone will go ahead.
People are invited to respond to the consultation here.

The council will also be holding a public consultation event at the Catholic Church of our Lady and St Alphege, Oldfield Park on 22nd June from 4.30pm to 8pm, where residents can view the plans and ask questions.
Councillor Manda Rigby, cabinet member for Transport, said: “More than 700 people responded to our previous consultation on the Oldfield Park and Westmoreland RPZ and the feedback has helped us to refine the design.
“We are keen to address the needs of people living in and around the area at the same time as making our streets healthier and safer.
“This second consultation on the TRO needed to legally implement and enforce the zone is an important next step in the plans moving forward, so please let us know whether you support or object to the proposals.
“It’s particularly important that any organisations in the area who may be affected by the plans give us their feedback.
“Our event on June 22 is a chance for you to come and speak with us about the scheme in person and find out more.”
