The Chairman of Bath & North East Somerset Council, Cllr Ian Gilchrist, will be attending a Remembrance Day service on Wednesday 11th November, at Haycombe Cemetery in Bath.
The service will begin at 10.45am on the grassed area between the Cross of Sacrifice and the Blitz Graves within the cemetery grounds and will incorporate the two minutes silence at 11am.
Cllr Gilchrist said: “I would be delighted if as many people as possible joined us at the Remembrance Day service.
“This is a time for the people of Bath and the surrounding area to join the nation in remembering those who have given their lives so gallantly.
“It is also a time to remember those who lost their lives during the Bath Blitz in 1942.”
Refreshments will be provided in the Burial Chapel after the service.
