Bath & North East Somerset Council says it has received a record number of nominations for its annual Community Awards, with over 150 people being nominated ahead of the ceremony next month.
The Community Awards recognise volunteers, community leaders, staff and businesses that make a positive contribution to the local community, putting people first and inspiring others to get involved.
This year, 158 nominations have been received. All nominees are being invited to an Awards Ceremony at the Guildhall in Bath on Wednesday 27th February 2019.
The event is hosted by the Chair of Bath & North East Somerset Council, Councillor Karen Walker.
Councillor Walker, said: “There are many people across the district who do so much for our community but whose work often goes unsung. The Community Awards enable us to celebrate and recognise these people and organisations who are dedicated to helping others.
