A shortlist of 12 acts has now been announced for the Bath Introduces 2019 competition, run by partners Bath Festivals and Moles, after attracting a record-breaking number of entries.
Bath Festivals and Moles said they were blown away by the response to this year’s competition, with 130 acts entering from all over the country, from as far and wide as Glasgow, Brighton, Manchester and Devon.
Experts from Moles and Bath Festivals listened to every act and had the tough job of whittling them down to just 12 acts.
The selection panel thanked everyone who entered, commenting that entries were of a very high standard.
The short-listed acts are:

- The Shuks
- An Orange Conspiracy
- Masa Diora
- Giovanni L’Immigrato
- Delight A Thief
- Vrillon
- Dessie Magee
- Hush Mozey
- ILL WILL
- Radio Laika
To see the acts battle it out for a place in the finals, head along to the heats at the three venues below. Doors open at 7pm and entry is free.

- Pig and Fiddle – Thursday 23rd May
- Moles – Saturday 25th May
The musicians in the three heats will be battling it out for a chance to play the Bath Festivals Finale Weekend on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June – alongside Clean Bandit, Van Morrison, Corrine Bailey Rae and more.
Part of the prize-winning package is the opportunity to have a full day’s professional recording at the world renowned Real World Studios.
