A restaurant in Bath is set to open on Christmas Day to offer older people who would otherwise have been alone a free lunch and community fun.
The Dashwood Restaurant, on Argyle Street, will be hosting a free Christmas lunch for 50 people in the local area.
Staff at the restaurant are volunteering their time on the day to make the special initiative possible, which will also feature a gift exchange and live music.
Sahara, the owner of The Dashwood, said: “Christmas isn’t about expensive gifts. It’s about connection, warmth, and ensuring no one feels lonely during the holidays.”
There are limited spaces available, with people being invited to reserve a space by calling 01225 800 508 or emailing [email protected]
The event will be held from 12pm to 5pm on Wednesday 25th December.
