People in the village of Peasedown St John near Bath are being encouraged to ensure no child goes without a chocolate egg this Easter.

Peasedown Community Trust chairman Gavin Heathcote

The Peasedown Community Trust is to give away one hundred eggs this Saturday, 16th April, at the library based in the Hive Community Centre.

The charity was set up two years ago to champion community and civic life.

Trust Chairman, Gavin Heathcote, said: “On Easter Saturday, the Easter Bunny will be in Peasedown helping us with our free chocolate egg giveaway.

“He will be based at The Hive and wandering up and down the high street, so keep your eyes peeled!

“The past two years have been tough on us all. Many people living in Peasedown have been out of work, isolated from friends and family and not able to spend time doing the things they love.”

Between 10-11am, the Trust will be at Peasedown Community Library giving out free eggs to the public.

Fellow Trustee Benice Hampton added: “Pop along to the library next Saturday morning at The Hive Community Centre to collect your free egg.

“This is an easy and fun way for us all to ‘get into the Easter spirit’ at the start of – what we hope is – a positive year ahead.”

The Peasedown Community Library is located at The Hive Community Centre, Bath Road, BA2 8DH.
