Peasedown St John Parish Council has become the latest sponsor of the village’s popular Party in the Park Festival, which is set to take place on Saturday 8th June.

Parish Councillors voted overwhelmingly at last month’s meeting to back the summer event, which this year celebrates its 11th anniversary.

Tanya West, Clerk to the Parish Council, said: “Party in the Park is the biggest event in the community. With crowds of up to 3,000 attending each summer, there is no better place to be on the second-Saturday of June each year!

“Peasedown St John Parish Council is pleased to sponsor the festival again, making it our 5th consecutive year of doing so.

“Good luck to the organisers and volunteers who are planning another huge event. We hope all the parishioners that attend on the day have a wonderful time.”

As well as sponsoring, Peasedown St John Parish Council will be holding an information stall at the event, near to the main stage.

Anyone who goes along on the day can meet Parish Councillors, council staff and find out more about the services they provide.

Party in the Park Chairman, Nathan Hartley said: “Having the support of our local Parish Council means a lot to us.

“They have been a regular sponsor for several years now which helps us to budget the festival’s costs confidently, knowing we have reliable sources of funding, year after year.

“The Parish Council’s logo will be appearing on our event banners, on the front of the festival programme, and they’ll also have a full-page dedicated to them on the inside pages.”

Party in the Park 2019 starts at 12 noon on Saturday 8th June on Beacon Field – with festivities running until 7pm.
