Part of North Road in the Combe Down area of Bath has reopened to traffic this morning, Monday 27th January, following repairs to a burst water main.
A closure was put in place near the junction with Ralph Allen Drive over the weekend as Wessex Water teams worked to repair the water main, which burst on Friday afternoon.
The road has now partially reopened, but there will be two-way traffic lights in place while work to complete the repair continues.
A spokesperson for the water and sewerage company said: “From Monday morning, the road will be reopened, with two-way traffic lights in place.
“The lights are likely to remain in place into Tuesday (28th January).
“We’re still working on what is a complex, deep repair and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“We are continuing to keep in contact with customers about the situation and have written to local schools and businesses to advise them about the lights in place on Monday morning.
“Water supplies to homes and businesses in the area remain unaffected.”
