North Road in Bathwick will be closed during the day all next week for planned resurfacing works.
Bath & North East Somerset Council says the road closure will be in place between 7am and 7pm from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd August.
There will be a diversion route via Bathwick Hill, which it is estimated will add about five minutes to a journey.
The work is part of the local authority’s annual highway resurfacing programme for 2024-25, which will see 36 planned schemes carried out, spanning 92,000 square metres of roads.
Almost £9 million is being spent on highways and footways this financial year, with £3.6 million on the resurfacing programme.
