Work will be taking place between Monday 28th and Thursday 31st October, which will see all train services through Bath Spa railway station affected.

Trains between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads will be using an alternative route, but will not stop at Chippenham or Bath Spa.

A reduced service will continue to operate between London Paddington or Swindon and Bath Spa via Chippenham.

Replacement road transport will be offered between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa, with some stopping at Keynsham and Oldfield Park.

Replacement buses will pick-up/drop-off away from the railway station at the following locations:

  • Bath Spa: Dorchester Street bus stops (arrivals) / Bus station (departures)
  • Oldfield Park: Bellotts Road bus stop (towards Bath) / Windsor Road Bridge bus stop (towards Bristol)
  • Keynsham: Keynsham Church bus stops
  • Bristol Temple Meads: The Friary

As an alternative, valid rail tickets can also be used to travel on the following First buses instead:

  • 1, U1, U2, 5 or U5 – between Bath (city centre) and Oldfield Park
  • 39 or X39 – between Bristol (city centre) and Bath (city centre)
  • 349 or 522 – between Bristol (city centre) and Keynsham
