The Bath Echo, the local independent newspaper created in Bath, has relaunched its print edition, with copies being made freely available across the city.
The newspaper, which first went into print in August 2019, is once again being offered fortnightly and will host a variety of news, what’s on, columns from the leader of Bath & North East Somerset Council and MP Wera Hobhouse, reviews, and much more.
Available to collect via dedicated pick-up points, including Waitrose, M&S, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s stores, residents who prefer to read about their local area in print can once again do so for free.
Editor of the Bath Echo, Sebastian Hawker, said: “We’re very pleased to be bringing the newspaper back into print, following a brief pause due to the pandemic.
“We’ve been working hard to ensure those who don’t have the opportunity to find out what’s happening in their local area online aren’t being left out, and this is one way we can achieve this.
“Many people are worried about the cost of living at the moment, so it’s only right that we can offer this newspaper to residents for free, giving them just as much of a chance to get relevant information about where they live as those who can afford the ever-increasing price of other newspapers.
“In coming issues, we’ll be helping the city’s residents with top tips on budgeting, ensuring people who are eligible for financial support are receiving it, ways to help eke out budgets a little further and offering a competition with £500 cash up for grabs.
“We’re working hard to support our community in as many ways as we can, and we’re very grateful for the backing of our advertisers, who make what we do possible.”
The newspaper is entirely funded by advertising. Anyone who wishes to find out more about the options available is encouraged to visit this webpage or email [email protected].
