A new tarmac path in Keynsham Memorial Park has been officially opened by B&NES Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services, Councillor Martin Veal, who cut the ribbon to mark the official opening last Thursday.
The new path completes the circular walk around the River Chew in the Dapps Hill area of Keynsham Memorial Park.
It provides a continuous all-weather surface for visitors in this section of the park and also includes access to the outdoor gym equipment.
Councillor Veal said: “The new path we have opened is a real asset to the community providing many benefits to local residents and park visitors, especially those with mobility scooters, parents with pushchairs and walkers in wet weather, for many years to come.
“I hope that as well as walking, people will use the path and outdoor gym equipment for a range of activities including walking, running and working out.
“We want people to get the most out of our parks and green spaces and having access to this path and equipment will ensure they can use their local park to have fun and stay healthy.”
