Bath & North East Somerset Council says that works involving the closure of Milsom Street that had been due to start on Monday 3rd February are to begin a month later.

The delay means the start date is now Monday 3rd March.

Milsom Street will be closed to traffic, including cyclists, during the daytime to carry out pavement improvements and road resurfacing works.

Originally it was anticipated that the work would take seven weeks but the end date being given is Friday 4th April.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will see parking temporarily suspended, including for Blue Badge holders.

The road will be closed from the junction with George Street down to the junction with Quiet Street between 10am and 6pm.

The traffic order will also cover the closure of George Street for one night from 10pm to 5am for work to be carried out from its junction with Gay Street to Lansdown Road. All parking will be suspended.

Diversions will be in place during the closures.
