Midsomer Norton road closed for six weeks for phased gas works

Redfield Road in Midsomer Norton has been closed for six weeks for gas main upgrade works being done in three stages.

Wales & West Utilities began work on Monday, 21st July. The closure order will run for a maximum period of six months but the road will only be restricted when traffic signs are in position.

Each phase is expected to take two weeks.

Phase 1 will be from the junction with St Chad’s Green to the junction with Steam Mills.

The second phase will be from Steams Mills to the Providence Place junction and the third one will be from Providence Place to the junction with Paulton Road.

Access will be maintained for residents.

Drivers will be-routed via Paulton Road, North Road, the B3355, Redfield Road and vice versa.
