The ‘On Your Own Table’ initiative from brewer Hall & Woodhouse promises to host a table for Christmas dinner for those who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day, ensuring they are able to come together with other people in a similar situation to enjoy the festivities and some community spirit.

The Boathouse in Newbridge has a table reserved for six people on Christmas Day.

Sarah Macullum, General Manager at The Boathouse, said: “Giving back to the community is an integral and essential part of what makes the Hall & Woodhouse family so special.

“Christmas is a time of the year where people get together with loved ones to celebrate and reset. Unfortunately, for some, that’s more difficult and can cause a lot of grief and loneliness.

“We are honoured to provide that sense of togetherness and support during what can be a difficult time for many.”

Places for Hall & Woodhouse’s ‘On Your Own Table’ initiative are secured on a first-come, first-serve basis, with waiting lists available in case of a cancellation.

Guests can request a seat for themselves or be nominated by another party.

To book, simply call, email, or direct message the pub on social media. Visit www.boathouse-bath.co.uk  to find out more.
