Improvement works along the A4 London Road in Bath started yesterday, Thursday 22nd March, following a delay caused by the recent severe weather conditions.

The work had been scheduled to start on Monday 19th March.

The recent cold weather also affected a number of gullies inbound along the London Road, approaching the Cleveland Place junction, and as a result require urgent repairs to ensure they are completed in advance of the resurfacing works due to start on the evening of Monday 26th March.

To ensure the programme can catch up and the new road surface is not dug up again, it will be necessary to work tomorrow, Saturday 24th March, between the hours of 8am and 8pm.

In a statement, B&NES Council said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and we will endeavour to keep noise disruption to a minimum.”

Should you have any queries with respect to the works, you can contact Council Connect on 01225 394041 or email [email protected].
