Drivers are being advised that overnight works will be taking place on the London Road between the Gloucester Road and Snow Hill junctions from Monday 24th September.
The works will take up to one week, while road markings are refreshed.
Yellow box markings and other lines will be repainted, with the road remaining open but under temporary signals between 8pm and 6am each night.
Traffic may sometimes be directed along the bus lane, which will be monitored by the Council and where vehicles are directed to use it by authorised personnel, no Penalty Charge Notice will be issued.
Councillor Mark Shelford, Cabinet member for Transport and Environment, said: “We are carrying out works on this busy road during the night to avoid disruption, however some slight delays may be experienced and we thank the travelling public for their patience.”
