This year’s Bath Dragon Boat Race will take place at Bath Riverside on Sunday 8th September, with 18 teams battling it out on the water in a bid to be crowned top dragons.
There will be entertainment for all the family and refreshments on the riverbank, including a samba band and face-painting.
Teams will be going head-to-head in a series of heats. Previous winners have included local fitness club Health Bath and Advance Investments.
All those who have entered have been raising sponsorship to support two charities: Designability, a local charity who design and develop products for people living with disabilities and Mountain Way, which supports UK military veterans living with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Matt Redmore, Fundraising Officer at Designability, said: “This is Designability’s third year organising the Bath Dragon Boat Race and we are really excited to see who will take the crown this year.
“Our teams have been hard at work raising money for these great causes. The race always draws a great crowd so come on down and support our teams!”
The event is free to spectators and will take place between 10.30am and 5pm on Sunday 8th September at Victoria Bridge, Bath Riverside.
