Children living in Peasedown St John are being invited to a free Halloween party next Friday night, organised by the village’s Residents’ Association.

The action packed evening will include frantic fun, goulish games, and a disco, held at St John’s Close Community Hall.

Local councillor Karen Walker (Independent, Peasedown St John) will be going along on the evening to help serve some tasty festive treats.

She said: “Halloween has been recognised as a festive event in the UK for decades. Children and young people are often encouraged to dress up, go out in the neighbourhood ‘trick or treating’, and join in with apple bombing contests.

“It’s important that local children can have fun, but in a safe environment – which is why I’m supporting Peasedown Residents’ Association’s Children’s Halloween Party on Friday night.”

The party follows on from the association’s successful party in 2014 on The Green in Frederick and Albert Avenues, and other events throughout the year to celebrate Christmas and Easter.

The children’s party, which starts at 7pm on Friday 30th October is free, but parents/carers are encouraged to ring Joy Gosz on 07895 572411 to let her know their child(ren) will attend.

St John’s Close Community Hall is located in St John’s Close, Albert Avenue, BA2 8JE.
