There’s no excuse for kids to be bored this May half-term as the Roman Baths, Fashion Museum and Victoria Art Gallery have plenty of exciting activities on offer.
Young visitors can dress up in a Roman toga, make a Roman-inspired treasure chest, have a go at ‘messy knitting’, or create some beautiful spring blossoms and trees to take home.
The activities at the Victoria Art Gallery are inspired by themes of flowers and nature from the summer exhibition, A Celebration of Flowers: Kaffe Fassett with Candace Bahouth.
All are free for Bath and North East Somerset residents with a Discovery Card.
Councillor Paul Myers, (Conservative, Midsomer Norton Redfield), cabinet member for Economic and Community Regeneration, said: “We hope local families will have fun exploring our museums and taking part in all the creative activities on offer over the May half-term holidays.”

Find out about ‘messy knitting’ in our Dress of the Year from 2016, then use finger knitting to make a cuff, neckpiece or something from your imagination!

Victoria Art Gallery
Wednesday 30th May 2018 – 10.30am–12.30pm and 1.30pm–3.30pm
Enjoy creating a blossom picture using mixed media.

Friday 1st June 2018 – 10.30am–12.30pm and 1.30pm–3.30pm
Create paper craft 3D trees.
All activities are included in the admission price, no need to book. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
