Local law firm Goughs Solicitors is offering a free will service to NHS frontline workers across the local community throughout the month of May.

The Private Client Team at Goughs Solicitors, which has offices in Corsham, Calne, Chippenham, Devizes, Melksham and Trowbridge, are offering to complete wills for NHS frontline workers free of charge.

The service is available to those working at the Royal United Hospital (RUH) in Bath, Great Western Hospital (GWH) in Swindon, as well as individuals living in or around the various Goughs offices.

Partner & Head of Private Client, Emma Taylor, commented; “We are really proud of our heritage and the communities in which we are based and wanted, during these difficult times, to give something back to those who really deserve it.

“The initiative was instigated by the team themselves who are working hard to continue delivering first-class service to our clients, but wanted to go above and beyond to support even further.

“The importance of having a will, constructed properly by qualified lawyers can sometimes be overlooked, particularly if people are married and make assumptions about how their estate will pass on their death.

“At Goughs we actively encourage all clients to have a will to ensure that wishes are acted upon.

“It also saves a grieving family a lot of potential heartache in dealing with a loved one’s estate, in the instance that no will was made.”

The free wills are available providing that instruction is received within the month of May and completed within 4 weeks. NHS proof of employment will be required and the free service includes the full creation of a ‘basic’ will.
