While general public entries have now sold out for the Bath Half, local charity After Umbrage are still looking for runners to join their team for this year’s marathon.
For the second year running, After Umbrage will be gathering a team of trainer-clad fundraisers and taking on the 2017 Vitality Bath Half Marathon which takes place on Sunday 12th March 2017.
The team will be raising vital funds to help After Umbrage continue their work, providing free breaks for carers across England.
This year the charity have been granted Bronze status by the Bath Half organisers, guaranteeing them seven fundraising places in the race.
After Umbrage was established in 2013 to ‘care for those who care’. The charity provides free, relaxing holiday accommodation in the Bath countryside to those who take care of loved ones with a life-limiting condition.
Kingham Cottage provides accommodation for up to four people, and is just five minutes from Bath. Carers can apply for a free stay at the cottage by downloading a referral form from the After Umbrage website.
Fundraising is vital in order to support After Umbrage and cover the costs of providing free respite breaks for carers.
To help After Umbrage to provide care for those who care, email Tara Belcher on [email protected] or visit www.afterumbrage.org.uk/bathalf and secure your place on After Umbrage’s 2017 Vitality Bath Half Marathon team.
Runners must pay their entry fees and raise a minimum of £175 for the charity.
All runners will be invited to a much-needed pasta dinner the night before the race and there will be t-shirts for the whole team.
