The Keynsham Bypass has been closed this morning, Tuesday 24th June, after a burst water main caused significant flooding on the busy route.
A number of neighbouring properties are currently without water due to the burst, which occurred in the early hours.
Bristol Water has said it is aware of the issue, which has been located on the Broadmead roundabout.
In a statement on its website, they said: “We have a District Inspector onsite who is awaiting the arrival of our crew – who will assess the burst main and look to start making the repair as soon as we can.”
Motorists are facing considerable disruption due to the closure, and are being advised to leave additional time for their journeys.
