Bath-based homeless charity Julian House is launching its first ever virtual quiz, called ‘The Big Virtual Quiz’, on Friday 3rd April at 1pm to help raise vital funds for its services.
Members of the public, families and colleagues are being invited to join in, have fun in their lunch break and help the charity raise much-needed funds to support its services during the coronavirus crisis.
The live quiz, which starts at 1pm and will last 45 minutes, will be live-streamed on the charity’s Facebook Group and players can play along at home or with members of their family.
Players can also get friends and colleagues involved by discussing answers over WhatsApp/ Facebook Messenger.
Jessica Gay, Senior Community and Events Fundraiser said: “Our virtual quiz is the perfect excuse for a fun lunch break, that brings friends and colleagues together for a good cause! But it has an important purpose.
“Due to the Coronavirus crisis, we’ve had to cancel or postpone all our pre-existing events and we’ve seen a big drop in our voluntary income -income which funds our life-saving services.
“By taking part in the quiz, not only are you having a bit of fun but you’re making a big impact.
“You’re helping us keep our life-saving services open so that we can continue to support and save the lives of some of the most vulnerable men and women on our streets during this crisis.”
It’s just £2.50 to enter. Sign up via the Eventbrite link here.
Upon registering, participants will be sent a link to join a private Facebook group. The quiz will be live-streamed from there.
