Residents are being invited to a special evening of remembrance and solidarity at Bath Guildhall on Tuesday 24th February, marking four years since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The conflict has devastated communities, displaced millions and continues to challenge international commitments to democracy, sovereignty and human rights.
To mark the anniversary, the Resettlement team at Bath & North East Somerset Council is hosting an early-evening gathering at the Guildhall, offering a space for quiet reflection and community support.
The event will feature short speeches, moments of reflection, Ukrainian music and time for people to connect and share their experiences.
It is open to members of the Ukrainian community, their sponsors and hosts, as well as local residents who wish to stand in solidarity with Ukraine.
Councillor Kevin Guy, leader of Bath & North East Somerset Council, said: “Four years on and we continue to defend democracy and stand in solidarity with Ukraine and its people.
“People across Bath & North East Somerset are still helping Ukrainian people displaced by this war supported by our resettlement team and tremendous work has also been done by The Friends of Oleksandriya group – all of whom will be warmly welcomed to the Guildhall to mark this anniversary.”
