Residents in Peasedown St John and surrounding villages were given the opportunity to take part in some creative glass workshops just before Christmas.

The workshops, which were held at the Hive Community Centre, were run by local artist Tracey Quinn.

Participants were able to explore the different ways that glass can be used for various purposes.

Tracey said: “Glass can be used in so many creative ways and is accessible for all crafting abilities.

“The workshops have shown how glass can be used to create Christmas bunting, festive wreaths from bottles and pretty angels that can sit on your Christmas tree at home!

“Thanks to everyone who attended these workshops, we’ve had a lot of fun over the last few weeks.”

Hive Community Centre Manager, Lucy Day, added: “We’re really grateful to Tracey for running these workshops at the Hive, they’ve been really popular!

“We hope to run many more events likes these throughout the coming 12 months. Please keep an eye on the notice board at The Hive for more details.”

As well as Glass Workshops in the art room, The Hive Community Centre is home to the village post office, Swallow Café, and the community library.
