From today, Monday 22nd November, the promotion will mean people are able to travel for just £1 on any First Bus or metrobus service in the Bath or Bristol Zone from 7pm.

Exclusions to the offer include journeys to/from the Bath Park & Ride sites, Brislington and Portway Park & Ride services and trips to Bristol Airport.

The £1 single evening ticket will be available all week from 7pm until 4.29am, up to and including New Year’s Eve.

The £1 fare also applies to students, young people and children.

Doug Claringbold, managing director of First West of England, said: “This year has been another challenging one for most of us, so we want to support our local evening economy and make it as easy as possible for people to get out and about as cheaply as possible up to and over the festive period.

“The £1 single evening ticket will be ideal for anyone wanting to enjoy the Christmas markets or some Christmas shopping, works nights out and Christmas parties, or just drinks with friends, a date night or catching up with the family.”

The ticket is available on the First Bus app, found in the Bath Zone and Bristol Zone under a “Promotions” category, or from the driver.
