Bus operator First West of England has announced that it will be making a number of slight changes to its services running across Bath from Sunday 28th April.

The changes include route and timetable alterations, designed to improve reliability and punctuality, and to better reflect customer demand over the summer months.
The frequency of University services U1/U1X (Lower Oldfield Park – University of Bath) will be slightly reduced at peak times Monday to Friday as usual at this time of year to reflect the drop in activity on campus.
It will reinstate at the start of the new academic year.
For the same reason, peak time services on the U2 (University of Bath – Twerton) will also be reduced from every 10 minutes to every 20 minutes while Service U5 (City Centre – Bath Spa University) will see peak time frequency reduced from every 12 to 15 minutes until the end of the academic year.
Service 2 (City Centre – Combe Down) is being extended further into Mulberry Park and the new bus turning circle.
Service 3/3A (Foxhill-Bathford/Elmhurst) will be extended to serve Mulberry Park. As a result, journeys towards Foxhill will no longer serve the Foxhill House and Bradford Park bus stops in this direction.
Two services will see a slight reduction in frequency from every 10 minutes to every 12 minutes until 1st September. These are: Service 1 (Bus Station – Southdown) and Service 5 (Bus Station – Whiteway).
Chris Hanson, Head of Operations, said: “We regularly review our timetables and routes to ensure we are providing the best possible services for our customers.
“At this time of year one of the key considerations is the drop in students using the services as well as an increase in visitor numbers in the region.”
