Firefighters based at Bath’s fire station are set to welcome local residents this weekend for a morning of coffee, cake and conversation in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event, taking place this Saturday, 30th September, between 10am and 1pm, will offer the community a chance to visit their local fire station and meet the team of firefighters that serve them, all while raising all-important funds for the cancer charity.

During the event, firefighters will be on hand to showcase some of their lifesaving equipment and get to know members of the community, as well as offering games and activities for all the family.

Also on offer will be tea, coffee, bakes and sweets for a donation to Macmillan.

Firefighter at Bath Andrew Shakespeare is organising the event and said: “We are excited to be hosting our first coffee morning for Macmillan here at Bath Fire Station to raise money for such an important cause.

“If you’re in the Bath area on the 30th of September, please come along and see us!”

To donate to Andrew’s fundraiser, you can bring cash to the event on the day, or donate via the JustGiving page here.
